Rabaçal Lakes & Fountains Walk
Rabaçal Lakes and Fountains (Rabaçal – Risco – 25 Fontes)
Explore the evergreen and Luxuriant Rabaçal valley located within the Madeira Natural Park, on the northwest of the island. Discover the concealed treasures of the indigenous Laurisilva forest with its abundance of mosses, lichens and ferns. As you stroll along the Levada to Risco and the 25 Fountains you’ll be bewitched by the cascading waterfalls, singing fountains and the tiny translucent lakes.
The Peaks Walk
The Peaks (Pico do Arieiro – Pico Ruivo)
This magnificent mountain walk begins at the mighty Pico Areeiro and heads off into the interior through jagged pinnacles and enormous towers of volcanic rock embellished with lava veins. Our exhilarating journey takes us to the highest point on the island, the soaring Pico Ruivo before we descend to Achada do Teixeira.
